Helping Your Child To Learn

At Abraham Moss High School we recognise the support of parents, whose encouragement and help is valued and appreciated. We attach great importance to regular communication with parents and any concerns that we or parents may have are openly discussed, whenever possible in the appropriate community language.

Making sure your child is happy and secure in school, knowing how to support their learning, understanding what they are being taught in all their different subjects and knowing your rights are all key factors in ensuring that your child has a valuable and enjoyable education.

Where do you look for help and support?

First, contact your child's head of year or head of school. We want to do everything we can to support you and your child and make sure they get the best eduacation they can. So, if you have worries or concerns about your child's progress, learning or behaviour talk to us. We, like you want the very best for your child.

Look at the "Contacts" section to find your child's head of year or head of school. If you prefer you can send an email to us by filling in and sending the form at the botom of this page.

There are also lots of useful websites that give parents and carers information, ideas and support in helping children enjoy life and learn effectively. You will find some of these on the "Parent and Carer Links" page.
