Abraham Moss High School is a thriving multicultural community, which prides itself on its harmony and success. The staff of the school is highly qualified and motivated and ensures that the needs of each pupil are met. Yr11 Timetable during Summer Exams|Dear Parent/Guardian, As your child’s time in school comes to an end, we would like to inform you of the special arrangements we have put into place for the first four weeks in June. We have attached a guide for when your child should be in school from Monday 3rdJune. There will be revision facilities in school or, if you prefer, your child may revise at home. If they are in school then full school uniform must be worn and they must uphold the same standards of respect and good behaviour we expect of them now. If there are no scheduled lessons then there will be revision facilities available in the Learning Resource Centre. It is up to your child to bring revision material with them. For the GCSEs, full school uniform must be worn. For morning exams, students must arrive in school no later than 8.30am and register with tutors. For afternoon exams, students must go straight to the exam hall where they will be registered. For all other times, there will be a signing in and out book in pupil reception. All Year 11 will be expected to do this on a daily basis for Health and Safety requirements. Finally, on behalf of all the staff at Abraham Moss, I would like to thank you for all the support you have shown over the past five years. We hope you are as proud of your children as we are and hope they will continue to thrive and be a success. It goes without saying that we will always be here as a community school to support you and your families – even when your child has left – and we look forward to celebrating their GCSE successes with you on Certificate Evening in November 2013. Yours faithfully, Miss J. Allen Deputy Headteacher Summer Examination Timetable Available|A complete copy of the timetable for summer examinations can be downloaded by clicking here. Manchester Parade|Our pupils did really well at the parade despite the short length of time they had for preparation and rehearsals. The organisers want us to get involved in the parade next year with a greater preparation time. This will be great for the school and our pupils. Those pupils involved really enjoyed themselves. Manchester League Champions| The Year 11s are Manchester League Champions!! The lads did us proud!! We won 3-2 in extra time. After leading 2-0 and comfortable.... We then had a crazy (melt down) 5 mins and conceded 2 soft goals, to make it 2-2, the lads showed character and hung on to full time! The lads were fantastic and showed real team spirit and individual brilliance. Goals scored by Adi, Salim and the winner by Fatlum (who was captain). Man of the match was Adil (didn't stop running all match) followed closely by Ermis (beautiful Beckham type crosses/passes that set up all the goals. To be honest all the boys contributed to the win! You can imagine the celebrations at the final whistle! This is a fantastic achievement and the boys have made recent history as it is the first time any of the Abraham Moss football teams has won any silverware in recent memory! All the hard work over the year has paid off, and they truly deserve their success !!
